New player in the Middle East

Its funny, I joked in another thread that I wished China would take care of the mess and someone said that there is no way China would get involved with the Middle East.
Does this signal another player in the Middle East, or perhaps China is taking a step forward in foreign policy?
WHat does this mean to our thoughts on Israel or the US ( preemptive strike ) smacking Iran for their current forrays into Nuclear weaponry?
Does this deal give Iran an ally? Will China make Iran comply with our demands?
