I saw this “piece” the other day :

(I know, Aint it cool sucks but stay with me for a sec) In this review it describes Happy Feet as a subliminally political and Leftist slanted movie. It got me thinking. How long has “children’s” movies been used as a training video for left wing thinking. Or Right wing thinking for that matter. Is this too far? Should we be concerned that we are molding our youth through movies and television for piolitical motives? Is this any more deplorable than the “Jesus Camps” held in the Bible belt or the brainwashing of the Middle Eastern youth by extremists?
She married Bob Ritchie (aka Kid Rock) recently. From Fox News:
Asked how she’s coping with her nerves before the big event, she replied: “I have two words for you: champagne.”
Good thing she was having a good math day when she got those implants. That would have looked pretty awkward.
I have a friend who has a friend who has a peculiar admiration of Chuck Norris. I guess we all have our own heroes. I tend to like the characters played by Steven Seagal, who is now a bloated fat-ass Brooklyn goomba getting had by past-their-prime mobsters. To each his own.
Anyway, this friend of a friend has a website and posts the following content regarding Chuck Norris. Check the comments for the bizarre obsession.
On days like this I have funny questions in my head. “It’s Hard out Here For a Pimp” from Hustle and Flow by Three Six Mafia won the Oscar for Best Original Song. Brokeback Mountain didn’t win best picture.
I wonder what offends people more: A hip hop song about pimpin’ or a movie about “two cowboys who fall into a love affair that spans decades”.
It seems like if Brokeback and Three Six both won there would be As-polding heads in this office.
